Langkah instalasi Drupal di Ubuntu

1. Dapatkan file drupal dari situs resmi Drupal, tutorial ini menggunakan Drupal-4.6.5.

2. Ekstrak file tersebut, dan tempatkan ke dalam DocumentRoot Webserver.

3. Buat Database untuk drupal. Disarankan menggunakan antarmuka web untuk alasan kemudahan seperti phpmyadmin jika menggunakan mySQL.

4. Jika database sudah dibuat, import tabel-tabel dari file sql yang terdapat folder /database.mysql.

5. Database siap digunakan, langkah selanjutnya adalah menyesuaikan dan mengkoneksikan drupal. Sesuaikan variabel $db_url = “mysql://usernameassword@localhost/database”; dan $base_url = “http://www.example.com”; yang terletak di folder sites/default/settings.php dengan konfigurasi masing-masing server.

6. Jika sudah sesuai semua, seharusnya drupal sudah dapat diakses tanpa ada masalah melalui URL yang telah ditentukan, misal http://localhost/drupal.
